About Admission
  • Important Instructions Regarding Admission:--
    (1)  Candidate should apply on the prescribed Application Form in their own hand correctly. If any information provided in the Application Form is found to be incorrect at any stage, the admission to the course shall automatically stand cancelled.

    (2)  Admission of students, against reserve category, shall be as per criteria laid down by the concerned Bihar Govt. the relative merit of students in there category will be determined with in the category only.

    (3)  The Director shall have the right to reject the candidature of any student without assigning any reasons.

    (4)  Candidate shall abide by the Rules & Regulations of the Institute & will not indulge in any activity, which will spoil the good name of the Institute.

    (5)  Student will be required to maintain a minimum attendance of 80% of delivered lectures in each paper and laboratory classes which will constitute the basic eligibility for each semester examination. However, some of the shortage in attendance in case of students representing the Institute in extra-curricular and youth activities with prior permission of the Director can be considered as Duty leave for the period student participated in such activities.

    Note--No fee will be refunded in case any candidate is found as in eligible for admission to a particular course or in case a candidate discontinues studies after admission for whatever reason. In case it is noticed at any stage that any bogus certificate information was submitted by candidate his/her candidature shall stand, cancelled and mark sheet/certificate issued will be withdrawn and the candidate will be liable to prosecuted under law.

    Annual Exam System
    •  Subject: Semester System Examination-Guideline & instruction for State Directors, Trade Testing Center and Trainees. All the regular trainees admitted w.e.f. August 2013, are eligible to appear for the ensuing All Indian Trade Test under CTS (semester system).There will be maximum examination papers for a trade in semester.Paper-1(A)Trade Theory&(B)Employability Skills-Objective Type.

    •  Paper-2(A)Workshop Calculation & Science and (B)Engineering Drawing-Objective Type Paper-3: Trade Practical-Conventional Type CTS pattern (descriptive type with skill testing)For Engineering as well as for non-Engineering Trades Answer sheet shall be evaluated by State Directorate. All the other subject’s paper(s)which are objective type are to be answered on OMR Sheet. These OMR sheets will be provided by DGET based on the indent received from State Directorates. The OMR sheets packets will be supplied along with the question papers. Evaluation of OMR based papers shall be carried out by DGET For the subject Employability Skills there are two syllabi. For the trades of one semester duration and the other for trades other than one semester duration. Available on DGET website.(Ref.DGET-19/17/2010-CD-Pt.dt.28th Nov.2013) The maximum marks will be as per the new pattern A. For Engineering Trades:

    •  Trainees will attempt on OMR sheet for the theory papers at sI.No.2 & 3 /sI. No.2 of the table above.
    •  There will be no answer sheet supplied by DGET for theory paper, not even for the NIMI pattern papers. 3. Trainees may be permitted to use plain paper for rough work etc. They may also bring graph sheet for rough work or drawing work etc.if required. 4.The question Papers will be supplied in bilingual Hindi and English language. 5.Regional language paper if any, will be in single language and not bilingual.
